The following is a listing of Priestnall's that are known to have died as a result of enemy action, during the First and Second World Wars. Some have died in action, and others who were unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.


FIRST WORLD WAR (Great War - 1914 - 1918)

2nd Btn. Lancashire Fusiliers who died on Wednesday, 25th November 1914. Age 20. 1st/5th Btn. Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regt.) who died on Saturday, 16th September 1916. 1st Btn. King's Royal Rifle Corps who died on Saturday, 23rd March 1918. Age 19. attd. 5th Btn. Northumberland Fusiliers who died on Monday, 27th May 1918.
       
Buried at the Le Touquet Railway Crossing Cemetery, Comines-Warneton, Hainaut, Belgium. Buried at the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Buried at the Lebucquiere Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.  
       
Husband of Doris Galloway (formerly Priestnall), of 32, Thomas St., Hulme, Manchester.   Son of Robert William Priestnall, of 50, Stephenson St., Dean Bank, Ferryhill, Co. Durham.  

SECOND WORLD WAR (1939 - 1945)

Husband of Daisy Mary Priestnall. at 29 Renmuir Street, who died as a result of enemy action on Saturday, 1st July 1944. Age 59. 29 Renmuir Street. Wife of Albert Sidney Priestnall. at 29 Renmuir Street, who died as a result of enemy action on Saturday, 1st July 1944. Age 60

Daughter of H. P. and M. Castle, of 104 Franciscan Road; wife of Cpl. Albert Thomas Priestnall, R.A.F. at 29 Renmuir Street, who died as a result of enemy action on Saturday, 1st July 1944. Age 29.

Son of Cpl. Albert Thomas Priestnall, R.A.F., and of Elsie Priestnall. at 29 Renmuir Street, who died as a result of enemy action on Saturday, 1st July 1944. Age 21 months.
