Harriet Priestnall of Glossop, Derbyshire

Will of Harriet Priestnall formerly of Marple, late of Glossop – Died 4th September 1892 at Glossop

Administration

Dated the 18th day of October 1892
Be it known that at the date hereinunder written the last Will and Testament of Harriet Priestnell otherwise Priestnall formerly of Hawk Green, Marple in the County of Chester, but late of 105 High Street East, Glossop in the County of Derby, Widow, deceased who died on the 4th day of September 1892 at 105 High Street East, Glossop aforesaid and who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode at 105 High Street East, Glossop aforesaid within the District of the County of Derby was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Derby and that Administration of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to John Shepley of Hawk Green, Marple aforesaid, Weavers Overlooker, the nephew, the sole Executor named in the said Will having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same.

Will

This is the last and only Will of me Harriet Priestnall of Hawk Green, Marple, Widow.
I bequeath unto my niece Mary Minshall my two sampler pictures.
I bequeath unto my grandniece Ada Shepley my small chest of drawers.
I give, devise and bequeath all my real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my nephew John Shepley his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. Upon trust to sell and convert the same into money either by public auction or private contract and to stand and be possessed of the proceeds thereof and also of all other money of which I may die possessed.
In trust to divide the same amongst and equally between my nephew the said John Shepley, my said niece Mary Minshall, my nephew Eli Shepley, my nephews William Henry Hadfield, Joseph Hadfield (son of my brother Joseph Hadfield), John Hadfield and Joseph Hadfield (son of my brother Christopher Hadfield), my niece Alice Hadfield, my grand niece Ellen Westhead, my niece Hannah Pott, my niece Parnell Hurst, my niece Keziah Taylor, my nephew John Priestnall, my nephew John Bowden and my step daughter Sarah Ann Jackson (the daughter of my late husband John Priestnall) living at my decease and the issue of such of them as shall be then dead leaving issue, such issue taking only amongst them their parents share.
I appoint my nephew the said John Shepley the sole Executor of this my Will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight. Hariet Priestnell.

Signed by the said Testatrix in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as witnesses.
