WILLS IN CHESHIRE (UK)

Transcript of will for
John Priestnall of Greek Street, Stockport

This transcript is meant as a guide to the contents of the will and is not always a full transcript, which in some cases may lead to several pages of rambling text.

The purpose of the transcript is to give an accurate indication as to who the beneficiaries are, and if available an insight to the lifestyle of the deceased, by way of any peculiar comments in the will, and of course inventories of personal effects where available.

Will of John Priestnall of Greek Street Stockport - Died 7th July 1837

Date of will - 27th May 1837
Value - £50
Proven at Chester diocesan consistory court on 9th October 1837

All estate left to wife Ann Priestnall, and on her death equally to Ann Elizabeth Priestnall, Mary Storer Priestnall and Sarah Cullen Priestnall, all unmarried daughters.

An interesting point to note is that Ann Priestnall outlived two of her three daughters. (Both daughters at some point being married, at different times to the same man, James Wilde)
